Recipe Scaler

This calculator resizes any recipe up or down to match the number of servings you actually need, whether you're cooking for two or doubling a batch for a party.

It divides your desired servings by the original number of servings to get a scale factor, then multiplies every ingredient amount in your list by that same factor to keep proportions consistent.

Example: a recipe written for 4 servings that calls for 2 cups of flour, scaled up to 8 servings, has a scale factor of 8/4 = 2, so you'd need 2 × 2 = 4 cups of flour.
